The Architects Association of Iceland works to promote good architecture in Iceland, strengthen the cooperation of its members and safeguard their interests

To become a member of the Architects Association of Iceland you need permission to use  the professional title architect in Iceland.
You apply at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation. 

Members fee is ISK 63,500 a year.

Architecture students pay no fee.

Members aged 67 and older pay a publishing and web media fee of ISK 5,500 a year.

The office is open Monday to Friday 9am -1pm

To become a member of the association you send an application to ai@ai.is - with a copy of your permission from the Ministry to use the title architect.
