DesignMarch Abroad

DesignMarch in collaboration with the Icelandic Embassies in the Nordic capitals host events in the form of podcasts, taped in the preparation of the festival in Iceland. The aim is to bring together designers from Iceland and the Nordic capitals in an interesting conversation about design and architecture, thereby creating a foreign forum for the festival in collaboration with the embassy and foreign cooperation site.

Copenhagen

• Kristín Brynja Gunnarsdóttir has degrees in Architecture as well as Interior Design from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.
• Tine Winther Rysgaard has a degree in Fashion Design from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.
• Moderator is Ásta Stefánsdóttir has a masters degree in English- and Theater studies from the University of Copenhagen. 
  
  Stockholm
  
• Asli Abdulrahman is an artist who works with storytelling.
• Vaka Gunnarsdóttir is a newly graduated architect with a M.Sc degree from KTH, the Royal Institute of Technology and a Bachelor Degree from IUA, Icelandic University of the Arts.
• Moderator is Gustaf Kjellin who has a masters degree in curatorial studies from Stockholm University.

Helsinki

• Päivi Häikiö is a graphic designer and a visiting teacher at Aalto University School of Arts,
  Design and Architecture.
• Kristín Eva Ólafsdóttir who has over 20 years of experience in the field of design as a partner & art director at Gagarín interactive design studio in Iceland.
• Moderator is Anni Korkman, the Programme Director of Helsinki Design Week and Weekly.

Oslo

• Hannah Stoveland Blindheim is a Norwegian architect who graduated from the Oslo school of Architecture January 2019 and has since then worked at KIMA architects in Oslo.
• Vignir Freyr Helgason is an Icelandic architect with a master’s degree from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture (2010) and an executive master’s degree in Architectural Heritage from The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (2020).
• Moderator is Pétur Níelsson is a journalist from NLA University College.
