In short - Nordic Silence

May 25th, 2018

Industrial designer Katrín Ólína’s new collection, Nordic Silence, features four unusual objects made from cork and wood, called Silent Tree, Silent Stool, Silent Stump, and Silent Sun. The collection was created in collaboration with Finnish furniture company Made by Choice and yoga and wellness studio Sólir in Reykjavik.

All of the objects can be used to improve acoustics, and Silent Tree can even be used to partition off an area and symbolically bring nature into the space, as a solo tree or a cluster of trees.
