It´s happening! DesignMarch in May!

The program for Iceland´s largest design festival is live with around 80 exhibitions that reflects the unique growth of the Icelandic design scene in these turbulent times of change in strong collaboration with the innovation sector, the business community, Icelandic embassies around the world to name a few.

The future, technology, sustainability, nature, heritage and innovation are strong themes amongst the participants at this year's festival, which will provide inspiration for a new era.

Official date of the festival is 19th - 23rd of May. Due to Covid there will be no large or crowded events on the festival programme and all emphasis on the extraordinary projects and exhibitions by designers and architects.

DesignMarch festival and events follows the current restrictions from local authorities regarding Covid, that includes number limits, proximity limits and mask use. Read more here.

It is happening. DesignMarch in May is coming true. Ahead of us is a five-day design festival with a varied and exciting program where guests are given the opportunity to gain insight into the uniquely interesting world of designers and architects and be inspired.

The main exhibition areas of the festival this year are Gróska, Hafnartorg, Ásmundarsalur, Harpa, Elliðaárdalurinn, The Nordic House, Grandi, Museum of design and applied arts, Epal, Ásmundarsafn, City Hall, Kópavogur, Reykjavík city center, Art museum of Einar Jónssonar, Reykjavík Art Museum, National Gallery of Iceland, Hannesarholt, National Museum of Iceland and then exhibitions spread over the entire capital area.
