In short - Klambratún – a square by Kjarvalsstaðir
The chief designer of a new square near Kjarvalsstaðir is Elízabet Guðný Tómasdóttir, a landscape architect at Landslag. The adjacent park, Klambratún, was designed in the 1960s by Reynir Vilhjálmsson, the landscape architect who founded Landslag.
The square is multifunctional, serving as a resting place and as an events space for small and large happenings, some of which are tied to the art museum.
