Teun Zwets brings his colourful world of design to DesignTalks 2027

Dutch designer Teun Zwets is the second speaker to be announced for DesignTalks 2027. Known for his colourful and unconventional furniture designs, Zwets brings creativity, humour and unexpected solutions to the forefront of his work.
Zwets graduated from Design Academy Eindhoven in 2020 and has since gained recognition for his distinctive approach to design. Working without a fixed plan, he allows materials, experimentation and the creative process itself to guide him. The result is furniture and objects where raw textures meet refined details, bold colours take centre stage and imperfection becomes a strength.
In 2023, he created the first chair in his Splitted collection using hand-split wood. The collection has since evolved into a diverse range of furniture and objects. Zwets has designed for brands including Pols Potten, HKliving and Ikonic, and his work has been exhibited internationally, including in Milan, Tokyo and Hangzhou, China.
Teun Zwets takes the stage at DesignTalks at Harpa on 7 April 2027!

This year's theme is INSIGHT
The theme of DesignMarch 2027 is INSIGHT, shifting the focus to what lies behind the creative process: ideas, research, experimentation and the diverse journeys that lead to new solutions. DesignTalks will delve into the worlds of design and architecture, exploring different approaches and ideas that challenge conventions and open up new possibilities.
DesignTalks has established itself as one of the key events of DesignMarch and an important platform for inspiration, dialogue and fresh perspectives. Having attracted full houses in recent years, the conference offers audiences a unique opportunity to step inside the minds and creative processes of those shaping our present and future through their work.
The event will be held in English.
