The sweet harbinger of spring, the most fun festival of the year and the harvest of Icelandic design is ahead, as DesignMarch takes place from April 2nd to 5th. Icelandic design in its most diverse form takes the stage as usual, with over hundred events and exhibitions this year and even more participants. Architecture, artifacts, fashion, product design, experiences, and much more will be on offer throughout the greater capital area, although the vast majority of the program is in downtown Reykjavík.

Rekif Anadol, media artist, director and pioneer in the aesthetics of data and machine intelligence, will be speaking at DesignTalks in Harpa on 3rd May.

DesignTalks addresses the challenges the world is facing and highlights the importance of design and architecture in societal and global change. Humanity is facing the eleventh hour and the call for more sustainable solutions has never been louder. Faced with somewhat failed global collaborations on cutting emissions, political instability and repercussions after the pandemic, we ask: what now?
